Families

Families are the building blocks for children's physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.

Parents' positive connection allows children to become confident, secure and independent.

Research on early attachment indicates that children who are securely attached with their parents tend to be happier, socially competent and more resilient.

Research studies have demonstrated that high levels of conflict in a marriage may contribute to behavioral and emotional problems.
Children could exhibit behavioral problems such as acting out, lower academic performance, low self esteem, anxiety, and depression. They may also develop unhealthy attachments to drugs, alcohol, and food to numb and cope with their feelings.
